Huge Parade Welcomes LSL Owners Back After
Mysterious Disappearance from Front Royal
It was true the Lucky Star Lounge was
closed last week for their "
vacation ".
Did most of the devoted customers and
various local business owners accept
this excuse?
Hardly. Ernest Tapp of Slippery Gills
Goldfish Supply put it simply ", I heard
from a very reasonable source that all
four of them ran off with the
circus. Then I seen the first couple,
Patrick and Lorena, on the cable the
other night with about a dozen trained
dogs running all over the place. Then I
seen the other couple, Trevor and
Shawn, riding some elephants and
swinging on ropes."
Slim and Mimi Forte' owners of the
Gutterbomb Deli spoke in solemn tones.
" We love those people. When I was
told that the boys left their wives and
ran off with hoochie charletons I was
shocked. I immediately tried to get in
touch with the girls, knowing how upset
they'd be. That was until Slim told me
that both the girls up and ran off with a
biker gang."
Rumors swirled throughout the county
as the tortuous week continued.
"I heard they bought a school bus and
were driving to Woodstock to live in a
hippie commune."
Respected businesswoman, Charlene
Louise Dribble of Dribble Ball
Company offered to this reporter.
"The kids were always so nice. I would
rather believe the Woodstock thing
than the other horrible rumour I
heard." After some gentle yet firm
prodding Mrs. Dribble revealed her
other scenario", I was told that the one
couple, Patrick and Lorena, simply
sold everything and joined a cult
somewhere in Mexico. As for the other
couple I heard their coming back and
plan to turn the Lucky Star into a
church."
As fate would play its interesting hand
the team returned to Front Royal. The
Lucky Star opened just as the
numerous signs on the windows
stated it would. As for where the
couples disappeared. Patrick
Patterson pulled me aside looked me
square in the eye and said "' I really
can't tell you right now. But when I get
back from Mexico in January I can fill
you in. Hey, wants some free tickets to
the circus."
