Prairie Arts Collective
After graduating college in Southern
California I traveled extensively. My
travels landed me in picturesque
Wyoming. There I met and married my
husband, Ray.

We settled in Oklahoma where we raised
our girls and consider the Sooner state
our home.

I have always dabbled in art. Once I
retired I found the time to really explore
my craft.

After trying different mediums I find I am
attracted to acrylic and mixed media.
Mostly, I am self-taught, while taking a few
classes over the years.
When I start a painting I have something in mind of what I want to see in the
completed work.  More often than not the result is different than the original
I am learning that it is okay to follow what the paints are showing me.

My style continues to evolve and I am excited to see what happens next in my
artistic journey. As an added plus, my husband Ray makes nearly all of my
frames, which makes for a fun "family affair".
