Sabrina Boling Sims

Sabrina Sims grew up in western Oklahoma, Clinton, OK, home.

Graduating from CHS in 1974 then moving to Edmond, OK after marriage
she graduated from Central State University with a BS in Elementary
Education.
Teaching children was her passion for many years.

2012 found Sabrina single and longing for a constructive direction to put her
creative energy.  She met and studied with master painter from Weatherford,
OK Cynde Roofe. That relationship continues today with special workshops
for the Starry Creek Gang which is what the group of women artists
designated themselves in Santa Fe, NM.

Among Ms Sims other mentors are Glen Thomas, a painter and marvelous
sculptor.
She started instruction with Bert Seaborn, famous Oklahoma City artist. His
work is dynamic and bold with plenty of room for interpretation by the viewer.

Sabrina’s medium is oil. After studying with Rebecca Mannschreck she is
began to explore the acrylic medium as well.  Her subject matter varies from
colorful bison to antique doors to colorful landscapes and female nudes.

In her own words, “The Spirit touches my hands and directs me to paint for
the one who needs a particular painting to enhance their life.  I give thanks to
my creator for each representation that flows through my hand to touch
another life.”
